Last Thaw · TAH Games · last updated 2 October 2026
Your worlds, settings and logs are saved in %APPDATA%\TAH Games\Last Thaw\. They never leave your PC
unless you turn on Steam Cloud (see below) or choose to send a log to us.
Last Thaw is sold and run through Steam. Steam handles your account, purchases, achievements, friends list, invites and cloud saves under Valve's privacy policy. We see only the totals Steam reports to developers, such as sales and achievement percentages, never who you are.
When you play together, the game sends what the other players need to see you: your position, actions, character, chosen name and chat messages. That data goes only to the players in your world, while you play, and is not stored by us. Through Steam, connections are relayed by Valve. Through direct IP, players connect to the host's IP address, which the host chose to share.
Voice is sent live only while you hold the talk key, and only to the players in your world. It is never recorded, saved or sent to us.
If you email us or open a GitHub issue, we use what you send (your email address, message and any log you attach) only to answer you and fix the problem. GitHub issues are public, so please don't post anything private there. To have your emails deleted, just ask.
Last Thaw is not aimed at children and contains zombie violence. We don't knowingly collect anything from anyone.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
